The Association for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan (hereinafter — the AI Association) took part in AI Planners, an international accelerator program aimed at developing and scaling AI-related projects.
This participation became a part of the Association’s strategy to expand its influence, build strategic partnerships, and promote Kazakhstan’s AI ecosystem at the international level.
Purpose of Participation:
• Present and promote the AI ecosystem of Kazakhstan;
• Establish partnerships with international accelerators, funds, and AI companies;
• Communicate Kazakhstan’s legislative and institutional initiatives in AI (including the draft AI law);
• Explore opportunities for international cooperation and pilot implementations;
• Support local AI teams participating in the program.
Format of Participation
• Institutional partner of the accelerator;
• Participation in panel sessions, master classes, and closed meetings with investors;
• Presentation of Kazakhstan’s National AI Strategy, regulatory initiatives, and market development measures;
• Engagement with the mentor network and program participants from various countries.
Key Focus Areas Presented
• Legislative initiatives, including the draft “Law on Artificial Intelligence”;
• Support and certification of AI solutions in Kazakhstan;
• Educational initiatives: training programs and cooperation with universities and accelerators;
• Open data development and creation of the National AI Platform;
• Case studies of successful Kazakhstani AI startups.
Outcomes of Participation
• More than 10 meetings held with potential international partners;
• Invitations received to global forums and research collaborations;
• Kazakhstan presented as a progressive jurisdiction for AI (including regulatory readiness);
• Strengthened presence and reputation of the AI Association in the international AI community;
• Reinforced the Association’s role as an entry point to the Kazakhstani market for foreign AI teams.
