About the Event
On October 20–21, Astana IT University hosted the AI Science Hackathon 2025, a scientific hackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence. More than 100 young researchers worked in 23 teams to develop AI solutions for science, medicine, and education.
Purpose
To create a platform where young scientists, developers, and researchers can apply artificial intelligence to solve practical challenges and accelerate the development of scientific projects in Kazakhstan.

• Selection of the best projects for funding

AI Science Hackathon 2025 has become an important platform for the development of youth-driven AI science. It demonstrated the strong potential of Kazakhstani developers and strengthened the role of the community in advancing domestic technologies. The Qaz.AI Association will continue supporting researchers and expanding the national AI ecosystem.

- AI-YM — recognition and generation of Kazakh sign language
- TandauAI — AI assistant for career choice
- Virtual Doctor Assistant — automation of medical documentation
